AHA Online Training

Complete CPR and First Aid online training on your own time and at your own pace. AHA offers a variety of eLearning and blended learning options. 

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED provides students the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR, and use of an AED. This course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community.

 Students must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session conducted by an American Heart Association Training Center Instructor. Students who successfully complete the online course and skills session (sold separately), will receive a Heartsaver Course Completion card, valid for two years. 

Complete BLS, ACLS, or PALS online training on your own time and at your own pace. AHA offers a variety of eLearning and blended learning options. 

 Students must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session conducted by an American Heart Association Training Center Instructor. Students who successfully complete the online course and skills session (sold separately), will receive an AHA Course Completion card, valid for two years. 

 The American Heart Association’s ACLS Prep Online courses are for students who are preparing to take an AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course. These courses are also ideal for healthcare professionals who require basic rhythm recognition and/or pharmacology knowledge related to the ACLS algorithms.

The Advanced Life Support (ALS) Modules offer high-level topics beyond Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) content and Continuing Education (CE) Credit. Each module uses the self-directed True Adaptive™ learning technology.

The AHA’s ALS Modules are for advanced healthcare providers who are seeking additional content beyond ACLS. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others.

The American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Academy of Pediatrics collaborated to develop PALS Plus, a pediatric advanced life support course designed for more experienced pediatric healthcare professionals seeking advanced educational content. This course teaches more than the standard PALS curriculum through the addition of 9 PALS Advanced eLearning Modules related to pediatric emergencies.

The full course includes an online portion consisting of HeartCode® PALS Online and the student’s selection of at least 6 of the 9 PALS Plus Advanced eLearning Modules, followed by a HeartCode PALS hands-on skills session with an authorized AHA PALS Instructor.

American Heart Association Instructor Essentials Online courses are the self-directed, online portions of the AHA Instructor Essentials blended learning courses. Course content covers steps for becoming an AHA Instructor and steps of the instruction cycle: Prepare, Teach, Test & Remediate, Close, and Keep Current. These courses includes core information about instructing AHA Provider courses, followed by course-specific information.

The AHA Instructor Essentials Courses are designed to prepare instructor candidates to teach AHA Instructor-led and blended learning Provider courses. They educate instructor candidates on how to use AHA Instructor teaching materials, ensure that students meet learning objectives, offer student coaching skills, provide an objective skills performance evaluation, and follow AHA Instructor and course policies. The courses cover core content and discipline-specific content required to teach AHA courses.
